Yeah will see what they say tomorrow and if I'm not happy with their response will threaten them with an independent inspection. Interestingly they called this evening to say do I want to give the car for salvage so I can speed up the claim, told them to hold off.
It's a total loss, so they're going to assess it to confirm this and then give me a figure so that I can buy another car BUT if this was potentially down to their incompetence, then I'm going to wring them for as much as I can get, especially as they won't even offer me a courtesy car in the...
Appreciate that but like I said my insurer is not going to investigate so before I stump up the money for an independent inspection, I wanted to know if it was even feasible that a static shock a week and half ago was a contributory factor e.g. caused a short circuit somewhere which eventually...
Hi guys, have had an unfortunate past month with my 09 S3. 3 weeks ago, I got rear ended by a speeding car whilst stationary, which caused my boot to be dented and paintwork scratched so got it repaired under my insurance at one of their garages. I got the S3 back about a week and half ago...
It's a mule, i.e they've used the body off an S3 as a disguise but if you look closely the brake discs are drilled and the calipers are larger plus the air intakes at the front are functional whereas they're not on an S3.
Reminds me of the time I left my S3 parked up on a high street only to come back to find the rear 3/4 dented and a horrible white mark across the passenger door but no offending vehicle so not best pleased as you can imagine. Car was only a year old so went through insurance who after some...
Bought the PSW19 DRL in the group buy a while back for my girlfriend's A3 but they're a bit too blue compared to the Phillips Crystal Vision H7 bulbs she has put in...are these white? Pics if you can would be great too.
I have recently noticed condensation on the inside of the cabin/windows of my 09 S3, so much so that I'm needing to wipe the inside of the windows with a towel if the car has been sat outside for a while i.e. in the morning and in the evening as I'm leaving work. Have only noticed it since...
Yep, ring up the dealership and ask for the model and reg then call the insurance company and give them the details as well as when you want the cover to start and end.
