Thanks for the replies. Gonna check out the wiring first. Seems quite a price range on these sensors. £18 upwards on ebay towards what GSF want at £75. God knows what vag charge for um!
Hey guys, been a while. Big changes in my work and personal life just haven't allowed me the time to devote to any of my favorite things over the last year, it's all been a bit mental really.
Still got the tqs and fast approaching 200k. Winter has seen the bodywork taking a further battering...
It's a shame but I think lpg has had it's day. My dad used to run an old converted Rangey but he got rid coz the local garage got rid of it's gas. I don't think lpg ever really took off (in rural locations anyway)
I've owned Audi's for 20yrs now and although it really gives me a heartache, I...
To be fair it wasn't really the garages fault. He was away on holiday and I was 60 miles away from the car, plus I didn't want anyone else to look at it seeing as that garage had replaced the pump only 3 weeks previous.
Fault traced to bad pressure switch that was replaced at same time as pump...
Still waiting for a diagnosis from the garage. He did say he also replaced the pressure sensor at the same time he did the pump. So I still have no idea what the problem is. Could it be bearings? (all I can think of) are these known to fail?. Engine is as quiet as you would expect for nearly 180k
Does anyone have any more info on this valve, is it part of the oil filter housing? Can you just replace this valve thing?
Guy at the garage is on holiday until a week on Tuesday so I'm a bit screwed for getting it sorted till then. I'm not going to risk driving it again so now I've got the...
Will do. It was my first thought last time so I got him to check it first and he said the pressure was very low so went ahead and did the pump. It seems exactly the same symptoms as before. Warning comes on at around 1800 rpm but goes out again by about 2500 rpm. This was after a motorway drive...
Bit pi##ed off to say the least!
I had the oil pump changed about 3 weeks ago, then tonight I get the warning again out the blue.
Getting the right hump with this car now!
Gonna have to see what the guy at the garage where it was done has to say I guess
(: :(
I only had time to throw the front ones on at the weekend. I used the clips, 2 on each. I fitted one behind the mirror and the other vertically at the other end, both went nice and snug. I don't think you could get them in (or even supposed to) horizontally along the top edge as it's just too...
Cheers. I might have a go with them this weekend if I get time. There are some available made by Climair which I think is the oem for Audi but at nearly £50 just for the front two I wasn't fancying paying that much!
You get what you pay for I guess. If the clips are no good I have some better 3M...
Has anyone got these fitted??
I've just got some 4 piece Front Rear Wind Deflectors fits Audi A41995 To 2001 4 Door Saloon | eBay
They come with some clips that are supposed to go in the window channel but was wondering if you use them? because that channel looks awful tight to be fitting them...
Just to update...
New pump fitted and all is well again :)
The old pump was just worn out the mechanic reckons. The strainer and sump were clean as a whistle. He said that someone had been in there before and showed me the old pump. What someone had done is snip away all the metal shroud around...
