In the Autodata book it lists 5w40, 5w30, 10w40 as an option for these diesels. long life services I would use the long life no ash stuff but seeing as you are like me and change the oil and filter every 6 months or fixed service 10k then it's up to you really, ordinary oil is good for that...
In the book and on the car display it is 10,000 miles or a year on fixed servicing, which is loads better than long life schedules cocking everything up with the oil inspection and time inspection reminders.
Think it's 15,000 on long life services, but that needs special oil to be in there that...
Can't beat a matching set of tyres , glad to see theres still some people out there who aren't total minge bags driving round on Chinese rubbish. I drive round on 4 Barums on both of my cars, excellent tyres in my opinion, think I paid about 76 quid each plus vat, and fitted them myself
To be...
I think they were something like a T15 from when i swapped the circuit boards into the panel that goes lower down for the double din radio, very small they are. mind you don't break any tabs
I bought a Nilfisk pressure washer from machine mart couple of years ago for about £40, they are not bad little washers for the money. Nice and compact
yes i've booked to go on, the car was re mapped by them last year so would be interesting to see what kind of power I actualy have.
it does look like we will have a large gathering !
That is a good idea with the tyres, I had never thought about that before. I had an Escort off the road for just short of 5 months last year too, I'll bare that in mind for next time !
personally I would just stick a trickle charger on and thats it . to save the battery, could take it off the car and keep it in the garage to charge. I couldnt be mithered about dropping the oil, as you could do that when the car is back in use if you wanted to. you can look into things to...
I've used a few products all with good results. Auto Glym Ultra deep shine for dark colours. that is good stuff for just everyday polishing, or auto smart polymer polish or something like that it's called. Both work well with a machine polisher and eliminate small scratches and swirls.
I...
i have them on mine in 18", i think they're a nice middle of the road sort of wheel, not the most saught after and not expensive as far as audi wheels go but a nice wheel none the less. I got all 4 last year for £360 and they had been powder coated, nearly a year on they are still in perfect...
I like the blacked out grilles, they are available black from the factory also.
I have sprayed mine satin black, the car is dark blue (moro) and it's an improvement, I also have the black window trim so it's all the same now
I paid about 70 from the dealers as i couldn't find any genuine ones on ebay at the time. They don't catch and are just as quality as the rest of the car, Ebay is full of cheap rubbish replicas
the tyres are 45 profile on 18inch wheels ? need to be 40 on 18s for these, thats definatly why then ! and would also explain why it feels a little slower on acceleration.
235/40/18 you want
is it ? it looks a lot higher than mine, mine is a 2004 with the later styled coloured bumper splitters and sideskirts. don't know about any suspesnion changes
I have 18 inch wheels
I dont know a great deal about the 2.0 tdi's and this problem but we have had 3 VAG cars up to now with siezed engines due to this, We sent them off to an engineering company to do it
But if you can get the modified set up fitted to yours or source a known modified engine and the car is in...
