Hi guys, a bit of an old thread I know.. just thought my question is about ballasts. I have an A3 8P 2009 with bixenons and I am wondering if the old ballasts are to blame for a poor ish light beam? My bulbs are brand new both 4800K Philips (£75 each). When the lights come on the beam is very...
I checked the wires and they are connected in the correct places. I don’t have a multimeter but a friend does and this is my next step. The 8P3 module doesn’t let me have 0000001 but I can have 0000012 or 0000013 but it doesn’t make a difference as I still can’t do the basic settings adjustment...
Hi all again @MT-V6 wiring looks ok I think. From what I can see I’m not sure that there is something wrong? Unless i shouldn’t have soldered the canbus wires?
Will do and will report back as soon as. Also there is this weird thing with the levelling sensors. Front is not reading and rear says 0.0 not sure what this is about..! And again thanks so much for your help mate. I owe you a few pints
So, tried coding again with module 8P3 907 357 B and no joy. It won’t do the level adjusting. It just says failed. I also get the below fault code from can. Could that be related???
I try to run it but it fails. It won’t do it! When I try it it clears the fault for a split second then it fails and bring up the fault on the dash again. I got that fault code with all the modules. Just another thing out of curiosity what amp fuse are you using for this? I have a 10amp (red)...
Attached this time is the canbus gateway that pins 6 and 16 went in. I had to breach the existed wiring as these pins were taken already but kufatec advised to either breach or replace.
Also would the fault code point to a sensor? I get readings from both and they do change when you move the...
check attached photo for fault code. I haven’t tried 0000012 but will do tomorrow as I’m at work till 6am. Again thanks a lot for your time mate. I only tried 0000003 cause that’s what it said on the kufatec instructions which is odd! It says models up to 2009 inclusive it’s 0000003 and from...
Thanks for your reply @MT-V6
Yes the part number for the 2006 is 8P0…
Also the instructions from kufatec say that the coding should be 0000003 for vehicles up to 2009 and when I try this with the module 8P3907357B it won’t accept it.
I’m pretty sure the wiring is correct at the canbus gateway...
So.. anyone please guys know the correct part number for the levelling controller!? See above the info at the moment I have 3 controllers and none seems to be working!
8P3 907 357 (2009)
8P3 907 357 B
8P3 907 357 F (2006)
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Hi, yes mate you can do it on OBD11 but it just says wait and doesnt do it meaning that something is not right.
Damn.. how can i find the correct part numbers for my set up?
Headlights: 8P0 941 004 BF, 8P0 941 003AN
sensors fron and rear: 1K0 941274C, 1K0 941273M
xenon range module: 8P3 907...
Hi guys, its one of them that is difficult to explain again :D.
So I have fitted my 09 facelift Audi A3 bixenon headlights (with led strip, non adaptive) and they work fine.
Now i have also been trying to do the auto levelling system too. So far have fitted the sensors and have done the...
Just an update... as per NHNs 1st reply I managed to swap the headlights and got the same error again. Does that mean that it could be a wiring problem? Maybe kufatec did another mistake on those? Or could it be something else still?
So sorry, my signal is rubbish and the screenshot didn’t get uploaded!! I’ll have to type it!
01535 - control circuit for right headlight range adjusting motor (V49)
010- open or short to plus - mil on
Car is Audi A3 2009
Well, sorry to bring back such an old thread. Just finished retrofitting my bixenon headlight with auto levelling and I get the below error. I assume it’s the motor for the levelling on the right headlight? If so, how easy to change!? Can it be changed and if yes, anyone has the part number...
Sorry for my delay too. Finally managed to figure it out! Unfortunately I had to buy a new harness for the auto levelling because they are totally different. The AFS lights use only 2 cables for each headlight to control it while the standard xenons without the AFS use 4 cables for each...
