I currently have a 2009 A3 2.0 tdi on 152k, I’m mainly doing city driving with a 400 mile round trip 7/8 times a year, so a bit worried about the dpf. Only getting about 37mpg. need a decent mpg as I’m at uni but also want something that’s not slow.
would it be worth swapping to a 1.8 TFSI for...
Thanks, would you say it’s fair to ask the mapper to look at it again for me without a full charge? I feel like paying in full again for something the map has potentially caused is a bit much
i can’t see any option to PM mate but it was done in Bristol, I managed to clear my dpf fault by taking it on the motorway and using some cleaner, but if it comes back again I know I’ve got an issue. And as your in the same boat I feel pretty certain it’s linked with having the car mapped / Egr...
Hello, I’m having a Similar issue, I had an egr disable with a stage 1 3 weeks ago and now have a clogged dpf fault. I spoke to the mapper and he said egr delete won’t effect the dpf and he’s done it on 100s of engines. Would it be sensible to had them egr put back on the map? Although he wants...
Thanks for the reply, I did let the mapping guy know and he said it may be a separate issue and to look it again and maybe take the egr delete off the map cost me £180. So not really sure where to go from there. Thanks
I have a 2009 a3 8p 2.0 TDI CBAB CR,
My dpf has been giving fault codes 3 weeks after a remap and egr delete, not sure if there’s a link.
managed to get rid of it with a motorway run then back after a day, is my best bet a dpf delete? I’m Bristol based if anyone knows of somewhere nearish to...
It’s a newish sony headunit, i know for sure it’s not headunit related and I plugged the sub into my phone with an adapter and the same problem happened.
I’m pretty sure it’s not that, as soon as I start moving the bass noticeably dips as if it’s getting less power, I haven’t had this in previous cars and engines on those where a lot louder. Weird
Installed a sub last last week, sounds really good until I start driving, then sound goes noticeably quieter than idle or aux, any idea what it could be? (Had battery tested it’s fine)
Power is wired to last post on battery fuse box.
Any ideas? Thanks :)
Okay great thanks, I believe the adapter plugs into the cd changer not aux but will activating aux work anyway? Not sure if the cd changer and aux are separate wiring.
I’ve wired in an eBay Bluetooth adapter which goes into the cd charger port of the quad-lock in my concert 3 radio, My car has no aux or cd changer. When I click cd to use the adapter it says “no cd” Do I need to have something coded in with vagcom? And what is it i need to have changed. Thanks
I’m trying to wire in a load resistor after installing LEDS, I’ve got the connector out and can’t tell which i need to connect the resistor onto. Here’s an image of the connector
