    Heading to A4 Allroad section

It's sad to move on mate - I miss my B5s but the 3.0 A6 Allroad and A5 Coupe are great. Bought OEM winter alloys and OEM spec snow tyres for them both following the B5 success in snow! I'm probably going to replace it with the A4 Allroad as the A6 went down so well with her. It would be...

A4 TQS N/S rear ABS ring

You need to heat it to cherry red and then plop it on the CV joint - making sure you have previously cleaned it. Make sure you get it the correct way round - IIRC there is a chamfer that goes toward the joint. If you balls it up, pull it off quick or it'll shrink on. Bad news is the iron...

Cold Weather / Winter Tyre Sizing

I was £700 for a set of 4 Audi winter alloys and Continental Winter tyres from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390977452157?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT although the rate has changed a little since then. It is not easy getting 225/50/R17 winter tyres in 98V ratings either...

    Power up Dash on bench

That'll be electronics using proper 60/40 solder then, instead of the unleaded ***** the EU mandated since the early 2000s

A4 B5 Cruise Control Retrofit Instructions with pictures

You can test the switch inputs with VCDS fairly easily statically IIRC - as said in the write-up If you want to test it via VCDS,Select 01 Engine Select 08 Measuring Blocks Zone 4 should NOT read 255 (CC deactivated) Zone 3 bits should all be '0' with CC off. On, Set, Resume, Brake on and Clutch...

How to: DIY repair of rear seat catch/lock on 4f saloon and possibly avant.

My fault was the previous owner had destructive kids who had snapped the cover and the lever! This is a little different from your problem and fix

How to: DIY repair of rear seat catch/lock on 4f saloon and possibly avant.

For further info, Audi sell the lock cover assy for around £30 (basically the item in Bentwenty's 6th pic) This includes the lever, pop-up tab and plastic trim, under part number 8E9885740 (ask for this, then go through the colour code options)

little yellow engine light has come on!!!

I'll say it first:- Inlet manifold flaps are playing up. No real problem - but it will put the light on. Get the garage to scan it and tell you what the fault is

front differential needed for b5 2.5 TDI Quattro

You need the same code as your gearbox (it's in the wheelwell sticker) so it matches the rear diff. Mine is broken - cracked around the crank sensor (which is why I'm getting rid) so would be no use to you I'm afraid (Haven't got around to binning/selling/deciding if I'm going to partially...

    Drop in power

I always used a hose clamp on the fuel feed whenever I disconnected any fuel component in the engine bay as these can be a little fickle. I'd clamp it before the filter, that way there will be no drainage back to the tank.

    Drop in power

I don't recall bleeding mine for that - are you getting air in the clear pipe? If so the fuel has syphoned back and you'll ned to do a full bleed.
