It's pretty much impossible lowering the car and retaining the OE comfort but as above the closest option for getting that would be the EIbach Pro springs although the drop would be very little with them on the Black Edition.

The lowering amount will really be personal choice but 'generally' the lower you go the stiffer it will get.
If you're wanting to change the springs alone then something like the Eibach or H&R lowering springs are always a popular option.

Budget kits are much of a muchness and most made in the same Chinese factory. If budget allows get something more mid range, you'll be thankful you did down the line... and road!

The FSD dampers have now been discontinued. The Bilstein B4 Sport dampers are a little more forgiving compared to the S-line dampers so this could be a place to start. Most springs will lower the car slightly unless you go for standard springs which will raise it.

Just changing the springs probably won't get you what you're wanting and will also effect the ride height which you mention you don't want to do.
In terms of a better ride, are you looking for more comfort or a more refined feel?

The hub lip on the rear tends to be deeper than the front and because of the spigot depth and chamfer on the 10mm spacers, they only go over the front hub lips.

You need to get a kit that is listed for the Quattro model, the FWD one will fit but the spring rates 'may' be different depending on which kit you go for.
