My car hasn't got a dpf, but reading online I think it's got an emission sensor.
Can anyone confirm?
In the meantime I also read that when running in manual mode on high revs (4th gear at 70mph) the coolant is pumped around to avoid overheating and the temperature drops.
Then when in 6th gear...
Yes, I know.
Is it possible that there's an emission sensor that hot dirty and after a blast on motorways at high revs it self cleared?
Seen this on YouTube for a Q5, don't know if it applies to my car.
The engine management light came on and I noticed that when I go on motorway the temperature drops.
If I go on manual and leave the 4th gear on, the temperature drops to about 75 degrees, but goes back up if i go on 6th gear but not all the way to 90.
If i'm in traffic it stays on...
Hi everyone, I have been told on another forum that when stationary it is always best to shift into Neutral before applying the EPB and release the foot brake (automatic transmission tiptronic)
In my car manual instead, it says that it is ok to remain in Drive.
The person suggested that the...
For further benefit of some.
Time came to change pas fluid on my passat and both cars' brake fluid.
So I splashed £31 on an extractor pump, aka vacuum pump, having "lost" my old trusted one a few years ago.
So much easier and clean to do all of this.
If you maintain your own car, I strongly...
Hi, sorry for the delay in updating.
For the benefit of someone here i write how it went.
I measured the return pipe diameter which is 16.5 mm because i realised it's too short to go straight in a bottle, there's no much space.
So i had to use an extension pipe about 20cm long.
Here is a £300...
Tried that, but it doesn't go up all the way on its own.
There are 6-8 inches that i have to do manually.
That's why I think the struts are shot.
They're 13 years old and i just changed the bonnet one because it wouldn't hold it open anymore (slammed on my head a couple of times)
Hi everyone, a little advice please.
My tailgate struts need changing, when i open the boot it doesn't lift fully and i have to manually lift up the last 6 inches so i don't bang my head on it. (It's electric)
Also sometimes it struggles to lift at the first few inches, when the electric motor...
Hi, reviving an old thread for piece of mind.
I fitted the radar cover, all good, cruise control works perfectly.
However the connector has 2 wires exposed to the elements.
I took a picture of the old one, the new one is identical.
The connector sits in his own bracket and the wires face the...
Hieveryone, Audi A6 C6 4F 2008 3.0lquattro.
I use quantum 5w30 longlife and do an oil change every 5000/6000 miles.
Talking to another audi owner he was horrified that i don't use castrol as recommended.
The use of quantum was recommended by a very good audi mechanic i used in the past.
