My oil light isnt coming on, on the dash. I've tried to by pass the switch but still no light on the dash. Can anyone help me???? Also no light when the ignition is on, and engine not started.
I blew my turbo, and the light never came on either, i've fixed it myself and I have relised the light issue. Is this a common fault???:faint:
Don't wanna drive it, because if I lose oil pressure and not aware because of no light then I could blow the turbo again!

Have you tried a VCDS scan? Fuses? There could be a fault in the cluster. It used to be an old trick to take the bulb out to hide faults but hey are all soldered in nowadays.

VCDS is a diagnostic solution developed by Ross-Tech http://www.ross-tech.com, this is equivalent to the full blown diagnostic system available to the dealer network. There is a list of users with it that are willing to help others here http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?84603-***VCDS-Users-Map***.

Nigel on the forum (NHN) is a supplier of the genuine item see http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?72359-VCDS-Supplier

Diagnostics will be able to check the Instrument cluster and Engine management unit to see if the oil pressure sensor is throwing a diagnostic code.
