As per title, does anybody carry about a replacement for the Audi jack?

I'm thinking about treating myself to a trolley jack - oh yes, I know how to live:) - and thought it would make sense to get one that's up to the job, but also compact enough to fit inside the spare wheel well.

Did think about a bottle jack, bit worried that I might not have enough clearance to get it under the car.

Any help appreciated as always.

Always been satisfied the little jack you get with a car will do the trick on the side of the road if you really need it. I have a 2T trolley jack at home if im doing anything at home and what that extra assurance. They weigh a lot though and doubt you'd find one that would fit in the spare wheel well that actually would be any better than the audi one you get anyway!! Bit of overkill to carry a trolley jack if you ask me!

It is sensible to carry a nice piece of wood to go under the standard jack, if you find yourself parked on soft ground as the thing will sink otherwise.

Thanks for the replies guys. Haven't used one since I worked in a local transport museum... must be 20 years ago now... I'd forgotten they were heavy right enough.
