If the values over a certain amount, you will get taxed on import from the eu, thank the idiots who voted to leave.
With respect, its common knowledge for any imports over a value, regardless who the seller is, brexit fail 101.
Did you pay VAT on the website?
Also, watch out for the delivery company adding in a charge for handling the VAT element of import.
I’m now avoiding any purchase of VAT is not within the price to avoid such situations.

I think it’s pot luck. I ordered hill hold assist plus a dongle from kufatec a couple of months ago and wasn’t charged anything extra.

I don’t think it appropriate to refer to leave voters as idiots. The right wing press subjected the British people to years of misinformation and downright lies about the EU (e.g. https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/l...-overcome-post-brexit-labour-shortage-288643/ ) and the leave campaign was far from honest.
The rich elite who wanted Brexit funded social media campaigns to encourage a leave vote.
