Has anyone been through this recently?

I'm approaching my VT point, and am looking at switching to company car instead of allowance

I'll be there or thereabouts with my mileage allowance, but expect to have to pay some damage charges - wheels mainly. Historically it's been cheaper to leave these and pay VWFS instead of doing the work yourself

Does anyone have an idea of what the charges are likely to be?

When I handed my Leon Cupra back last year with VWFS it was £45 per wheel regardless of how much damage there was!

That's what I was hoping. My 19's are FUBAR'd :nomouth:

I handed my B9 A4 Black Edition back in in July. The car sat outside my house for 4 weeks until it was finally collected, mainly due to a delay in swapping back the private registration.

The chap who assessed the car reported around £300 of damage including 2 wheels, bonnet paint chips and a small wing dent. I never got a bill from VWFS.

They follow the standard fair wear and guild, you can also find out how much they charge per item, wheels are around £45 each.

Sorry what's a VT? I know what VWFS stands for :)

Voluntary Termination

You can VT once you've paid half of the total payable, subject to damage charges and excess mileage charges (although there has been some success previously in avoiding these)

Thanks for this. I found an old menu price list for damage from 2017 and reckon there must be around a 25% uplift on those numbers by now. I suppose it's all down to what they want to charge for or not

Handed mine back in October as we hadn’t used it in months (lack of space and the obvious) and it was just sitting there.

Paintwork was immaculate, really did look like a new car. Tyres needed changing, right on the legal limit (another reason for me giving it back). Alloys were all scuffed / kerbed, big crease on the interior door card. I didn’t get charged anything, luckily.

Funnily enough they done nothing with the car until last week when it went to Wakefield Audi and was sold within a few days, hence me being back on here in case the new owner was posting..
