Hi, I had my battery disconnected and steering wheel removed and after re-fitment and reconnection my DIS has been stuck on trip 1. The R/H stalk controls have no effect at all, I can't even cycle through trip 1. Can somebody please give me some advice on what this could be? Thanks, Tyler.

ok so trip working before steering wheel removed and now after the wheel was reinstalled, the DIS does not work. is this right? I dont want to be an **** but I think the issue is the steering wheel. so what was the reason the wheel was removed, what was done to the wheel, who did the install? Loose connector? clockspring moved? details man details

Apologies for the lack of info! No issues whatsoever before the removal. Wheel was removed by myself for refurb, so no problems technically with the wheel. All connectors had to no sign of damage and appeared to be reconnected correctly. DIS gives me trip 1, displaying radio station, outside air temp, miles left in tank and cruise control details when in use. Please let me know if I've missed anything important

The steering wheel is not connected with the stalk though. So the steering wheel by itself cannot be the issue.
Something related to the job done in the area probably.
Does the stalk works to control the wipers?
Did you remove the steering module bellow the steering wheel? All functions are connected there. (Stalks, airbag, mfsw etc)

Hi, the stalk works fine for wipers, it's just the reset button and the up/down buttons on the end that aren't working. The steering module was left in place. Do you think it's worth taking the wheel back off to recheck all connection, wiring etc.?

Worth trying.
