Wife's Car was in at Audi today. They did health check and said haldex pump had spike so need to replace pump at £620 . I'm wondering if filter just needs cleaned and fresh oil. Car has only done 19000 miles.

Not under warranty?

Sounds like a rip off to me, pretty sure the pumps are only around £200. Get it to an independent to clean the filter and carry out basic settings on the pump after.

A full oil and filter change for the Haldex is around £85 at an indie. Plus a good indie will scan and tell you what they think is the problem first, and charge you £70/h not £140. If there’s no warranty avoid Audi altogether.

as above, and if the haldex pump is knackered (most likely if its already playing up due to blocked filter):

A new haldex pump, with oil and everything needed to fit is about £220 all in. Fitting is about an hour at an independent.
