Hi everyone, Been a member for a long time originally in a 8L S3 then B6 1.8T Quattro BEX.. Now just joined this section with a BUL Avant Quattro SE...

I’m considering swapping the rear arb for an Rs4 jobbie, but does anyone know what size the standard arb is on the Avant SE??

those figures above sound about right.

Although if your fancying an upgrade (im yet to do the arb ugrade!) I'll be going down the eibach route. Larger diameter on the rear than the oem rs4 variant so even less body roll.

I fitted an S4 to mine (RS4 was silly money) and that felt tighter, corners flatter. I can only imagine how tight an even bigger diameter would feel.

A guy i know of fitted the eibach set, and reckons it handles like a ho cart now, which for a car with the engine 4 miles infront of the front wheels is good going.

I'll definitely be shelling out for the eibachs ones eventually

Allways double check what tube dia size your current ARB is before rushing out to get something bigger, things may not allways be as they seem.:icon thumright:

Also the SE did'nt come with the BUL engine, the special editions tfsi did.
The 2.0tfsi quattro special editions are allways being called an SE for some reason , the SE is a different spec car all together.
Special editions with the BUL engine as with the DTM have the WUA prefix to the VIN number, if its WAU then its an SE

just to clarify things..:icon thumright:

Thats right, also built in the GmbH factory along side there older brothers

Hey Rob - can you confirm which ARB the S Line SE quattro (like mine) BUL engine Avant has as standard? I've often wondered & will be rebuilding my rear suspension soon so a possible upgrade may be on the cards.
