Hey guys. Need help. Got a s line A4 with DPF light on. Replaced the sensor as it wouldn’t communicate. still won’t regen. Have snap on machine and even forced won’t work. Any tips and advise to force it. It has 48g of soot in the DPF go through the process. Brake, throttle done but then won’t start the process and comes up abort.

You need to code the new sensor in or reset adaptations I can't remember exactly what it's called but it's an option in VCDS.

Done that. Still won’t do it.

Have a look on the Ross tech site and search force regen as there is an upper limit soot wise that it will not regenerate due to the risk of fire.

Usually you need over quarter of a tank of diesel, no errors stored in memory, correctly oil level, oil and coolant temp over 70 degress c for a force regen to start.

Temperate is at 75° as requested. Coolant is fine. It goes to regenerating then aborts. Says no communication but it’s got a new sensor.

I had a similar problem. Airborne oil was getting pushed into the electronics of the throttle body and stopping it working properly. This in turn stopped the regen.
