Just a quick bit of background; I have recently bought a 17 plate a3 1.4 150hp having previously owned a 07 TT 2 tfsi with bwa engine.
On the TT I ended up getting quite into maintenance and performance mods. For the 2L there were a lot of resources for maintenance, especially for gotchas like the hpfp tappet and I used resources like https://www.shopdap.com/blog/post/vw-audi-20t-fsi-common-problems.html to work through these common issues. I haven’t found similar resources for the 1.4 tfsi, is that because there are less issues? Or are there resources that I’m missing?
On performance mods I would really like to get the car to the 6 second 0-60 region - is that a feasible aim and what are the best mods for getting there? I’ve seen that there is a revo stage 1 option, but in terms of after market parts, there seems to be little to none out there on revo and racingline. Is a stage 1 remap really the only option on this car and possibly a higher flowing exhaust? And does anyone know what the revo stage 1 takes you to in terms of 0-60 times?
I am really happy with the car - I went with the s-line black edition and I like the look so I wouldn’t be looking for aesthetic mods and I’m happy with motorway cruising performance - I would really just like to increase the acceleration as 8.2 seconds is a bit sedate and I feel like the engine has more in it.
