Hi, happened a couple of times lately. 2.0 tdi 170.
Glow plug light flashing, limp mode. Stop car, restart and all ok.
No error codes showing.
Both times accelerating a little to get up hill. Egr newish, manifold all clean.
Any ideas ? Many thanks

What are you using to pull codes? Try and get it onto VCDS.

Intake Manifold Flap gave me intermittent Glow plug light that would go away after restart as you say.

(Apparently the chinesium/copy parts aren't great, so try borrow/test a genuine one if you know someone with same car.)

DPF need clearing? What year is yours mm?
Had this on my Seat Leon (not quite VAG but close enough - injector issue)

2007, could be, been using for really short trips.
I'm hoping intake manifold is ok, i had it off and cleaned out when replacing vacuum unit a few months back.
I'm in wales, can't take it far or we get busted :)

If you’re able to, you can manual dpf clean (regen) I understand holding the throttle at 6k revs for a few minutes should push the car into regen.

I think you mean 2k. No A4 TDI revs to 6k.

DPF regen is like driving consistently over 2k rpm for circa 20 mins iirc.
