What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Thanks Rob.
I've had carpet mats in the past, but they but never stay clean long and the heel pad wears through. Rubber don't look as good, but are far more practical.

Have you tried the carpet mats that have a removal heal wear section, just remove the worn pad and wack on a new one.

Been doing some thinking and browsing , I've decided to my Brembo's ….

Yep Banana split yellow and before you all fall over in shock and horror I think it suits a black bus very well.:yahoo:

Should go Orange, something different.

May just order some VHT spray and see how it goes, last time I used E-Tech brush on which was fine but may just try a spray type this time around.

Poundland, hi viz yellow paint.
Did my old clio calipers with it, lasted better than the hi temp paint I used on my mini clubman.

Think your going the right route with yellow callipers Rob, if I had a black car id 100% go yellow and the Porsche decal it looks well smart, unfortunately for me as nice as the misano is on the outside personally think the yellow would look like a bag of skittles and red and yellow isn't my cup of tea so stuck with red or silver options but luckily for you the yellow would look awesome, go for it, for me at least lol :icon thumright:

Fitted my half leather rear seats today.
I know they don't match my B8 fronts, but B8 rears won't fit without serious modification and I could find any B7 half leather fronts. All just need cleaning now.
Also being from Germany the rear seats have the through ski bag option. Ideal when on the piste in Lincolnshire!

Wow I am glad I saw this before going out and buying the B8 interior. So to clarify, the front seats are a straight forward fit but the rears are not?

Absolutely, the fronts bolt straight in.
The rear folding catches are lower down and the width is slightly different and the seat base also.
I didn't think the rears were worth the bother.

How about for a Silver car? Do you think red calipers would look best?

My silver B6 had red calipers and white wheels, looked ok. This silver B7 used to have yellow but now has anthracite and silver which I prefer. I think yellow needs to be kept pretty clean or it looks grubby.
Don't think you can really go wrong with a silver car.

Clear coat on first wheel, second wheel primed, third wheel sanded.

Will leave them for a good while before compound/polish

Seen Rob showing off with his fancy clean yellow and blue bits so i got round to cleaning all my inner arches and suspension today, not as bright as the yellow and blue but it will do :) also the supersport dampers are now supplied in black not silver!!! Not happy with that at all, but still the red looks good
again lol.

Definitely a satisfying job and good for making sure everything is tip top (hence me finding the driveshaft issue) and something ill make sure i do on both the cars after every winter.

Bang on what colour mate? The colour code / name I mean lol.

Nothing fancy here, just Halfords alloy wheel silver. In the past I've used Würth stuff but I'm close to a Halfords now so bought a load of stuff before Christmas to get the wheels done.
I'd say the Würth silver is a bit brighter.

Just started fitting new alloys, callipers still needs sanded and painted but consider between white and black? I think white will be hard to keep clean and shiny, then thinking go black to cover rust.

Just did the old Flash Magic Sponge trick on my steering wheel and gear knob.
It's utterly crazy!
I was so sceptical of anything happening that I didn't take a before picture and it's getting dark now for an after shot. But give it a go, it's like a brand new wheel.

There is a cleaning product made by "Flash", the Magic Sponge.
Just wet it and wipe your steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake handle with it and it brings all the shineyness off with it. Probably the top layer of polish build up.
The leather goes back to a matt "as new" condition.

Can’t see pics but want to see rs4 pedals..
How hard was replacing old ones to rs4’s?
Not that bad really. Not as bad as the internet says. Just make sure you get the RS4 pedals hot in boiling water before attempting to fit. Makes them much easier to manipulate.

Do tell Pie Eyed... i've been struggling to get the leather on the steering wheel back to original, what's the trick?
Ignore this - saw the earlier posts.
