Hi all.
First time on here and not that technically minded...sorry.

I have a 2009 A6 3.0tdi.
Has an EML which audi dealer says is "fault with intake flap motor 1".
Also says they neds to check the wiring but prices for a new motor.

Is this the same issue as swirl flap removal?

Seem lots of threads about the arms and bushes wearing out but cant find anything about the motors?

Hope someone can.point.me.in the right direction.

Thanks in advance

The motor operates the swirl flaps. Doesn't need removal, there is (though goodness knows where to find it now, check the C6 forum) a repair kit that replaces the linkage between motor and flaps. It's wear in the linkage that causes the "failure". 6 or 7 years ago it was £600 per manifold to replace, the kit was a few quid. Check with a good indeopendent specialist.

Thanks rafletcher.
I think I have seen this repair kit on a thread somewhere.

Many thanks for your reply !!
