As above. I’m probably mad, but the urge won’t go away. I don’t have a massive budget. At absolute full stretch and out of my comfort zone I can do 14k
Ideally I want to be around 12-13k so I have a slush fund for any unexpected bills, I’m sure there will be many.

preferred colours, Daytona grey, black or red.

ideally on coilovers and good history.

im in Derbyshire. Don’t mind travelling for the right car.

thanks

Hi Mate
Just want to give you my 2p,s worth on buying a B7 RS4
If you are seriously looking for one i would look on the Forums and FB RS4 pages not so much a dealer unless you can prove all the history and get a good warranty
Mine was a private sale and was owned for 3.5 years and he had spent a fortune on it and had a folder full of receipts, 3x services, de-coke, coilovers a must as you dont want DRC issues, full Miltek, pads, disks, tyres, stage 2 map with dyno charts.
Even with all of the above after 1 year of ownership it gave me a engine light which was a injector which was not common on these cars but was more common on Golf GTI, i spoke to MRC, QST and a few VW specialists and they all said coil packs and plugs.
But no it was a injector the quote for one was £900 due to the labour time 8 hours to strip and rebuild plus gaskets or 2k for all eight which i did as i didnt want the same issue on another one but i did have AA repair service which paid £500 towards it.
Other than that a set of tyres and a couple of services in the 14k miles i have done and its just gone over 43k
Please dont be put off by this as i feel everyone should own a RS as they are amazing cars but all owners will drive them properly to get the full noise and experience and also stop it coking up-so they say.
Spend as much as you can and have a spare credit card just in case to cover any smallish bills and enjoy.

Hi thanks for that.

I was hoping to find one that had undergone coilovers, had decent discs n pads, basically the major items covered. I am however reading more and more of the costs of relatively smaller / unexpected things that suddenly become very expensive and I do wonder if it would break me.
I’m
Currently in an A5 coupe tdi having come from
A C5 Vette. Got grand kid on the way and need 4 doors but I’m
Wanting the v8 sound and power back

Well i say you have to get one as its a brilliant V8 four door car.

Tbh. Shock horror.
The more I read, and the more people tell me of their heavily dented wallets, I’m
Tempted with a vxr8, same power and less to go wrong.
I’ll have to see. I’m
Still looking for an rs4, it would be my first choice but I doubt all my boxes would be ticked for my budget. By comparison you can pick up a vxr8 for 12-13k with good miles, no the same pedigree or build quality though

I’m sorry but I’m poor with technology and have no idea how to link things from eBay so here’s the item

when I first saw this and the price I was very interested given what had been spent together with the history, 2 keys plus 3rd key
Just had full mot with advisory on front and rear discs.
I’d been messaging the seller who states his only reason for sale is the he currently already has 3 cars and is looking to move house. Only had it since June 2019 and seemingly spent a lot on it. Seems a bit too good to be true?? I know the mileage is 137k, but he has now offered it me for 10k given the disc advisory. Seems he is desperate to sell.
I’d be tempted but there’s something niggling at me that there’s something not right.

what does everyone think? I’d be interested in your views

Ring unit 20 Audi specialists, ask them about the car. They have done the work
