I also use it on my car, simple to use and you can get free daily credits. Just depends upon what options your car has...
What would be the benefit of this Vs carista?
I've used carista on my old A6 but as it was a high spec it added very little.
What extras would either give me on a new SLine Black Edition with Comfort and Sound pack?

With ODB11 Professional you have far more options with long coding than Carista, plus OBD11 seem to bring on changes more rapidly than Carista does. As for coding your car Andy, it depends upon what you wish to do. There has been plenty written in the A4 B9 forum about each of the coding software but I've always started with here https://www.audi-coding.com/index.php/Audi_A4_B9_ab_Bj_2015 please translate.
