Hello all,

Traded in my Impreza for something a bit more conservative, A3 2lr TDI
20191006 071741 1466x3015


Can any one tell me off the top of there head the name of this colour?

Also is it a 8p or 8v or neither?

Welcome to 4 rings ownership lol

Thats an 8p facelift and looks really tidy

Is it a 170bhp tdi?

If so a decent remap will soon make you feel better about your decision as you can get over 200bhp and will still retain really good fuel economy

Ive had a few fast cars previously and ive moved over to an a3 8p 170 tdi quattro and to be honest i miss the high revving power delivery of a petrol turbo but with the economy of the tdi i can still belt through the a roads more than fast enough and not watch the fuel gauge drop

And the quality of the audi makes a nicer place to be , the mrs liked mine so much we chopped in her 2015 focus st for a 8v sline 184tdi stronic quattto

8p facelift, thanks for that info, it is the 170 tdi yes and I will be looking at a remap shortly. Would also be looking to get rid of the problematic DPF

If its post 2008 it wont be a pd engine which they suffered the problem

Yours will be a cr170 which if you give it a blast every so often (you prob will if you had a scooby) itl be fine mate

Thanks for info, I dont much about them so any is appreciated.

I know about driving it at like 2500rpm for 15min when the dpf light on the dash, Is there any benefit to doing this when the light is not on?

Sorry if that's worded badly .

As long as you let it stretch its legs every so often it should be ok , the dpf clogs if it doesnt get hot enough to burn it off itself for example short journeys where it wont get hot enough for long enough and slow city driving where revs are kept relatively low
