Hi all, this is my first post and a quick question. I’m looking into changing the daytime running bulbs in my headlights to LED. Has anyone done this already? If so can anyone point me in the direction of where they got the bulbs?

Thanks everyone

Is there a obvious way of knowing, I’m pretty new in the Audi front...I know it’s 2007-2015, I’m thinking it’s the post facelift?

That’s pre facelift, bumper, lights and grill are all different on the b8.5 facelift. Amongst other things

Ok thanks for the info - it all helps point me in the right direction with anything I need to know so I appreciate...with that info..did you know if there is a way to change the daytime bulbs to LED?

We have a guy on the forum whose company, E M Tuning, is the go to place for LED lighting. Start a conversation with @t8ups . :)

Thanks bud! I’ve dropped him a message - thanks again for your help!

I’ve not long done mine - https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/new-daytime-running-lights-drls.399815/...I’m assuming they are the same?

Was a pretty easy mod (once the headlights are removed - my bolts were a bit tough but nothing a bit WD40 couldn’t sort).
I tried messaging T8ups but didn’t get a response but just ended up doing some research & got my bulbs from Amazon. They haven’t been in long but so far so good:thumbs up:

Thanks mate! Looks like you’ve done a great job is kinda hoped it would be slightly more straight forward (wishful thinking I know) based on your pics although the end result looks great I’ll probably leave them as I’d be too paranoid I’ll get it wrong and end up needing a new headlight
Thanks again for your reply bud

No worries... I was a little apprehensive at first & actually put it off for months, but pleased I done it. Even though the headlights were a bit of a pain to remove, the actual swapping of bulbs etc. wasn't too bad. So much so, that I was thinking of replacing them for people, but after about 5 seconds I realised that wouldn't be feasible unless close by & willing to leave car for a few hours (I just know that the majority of people would have them replaced if they didn't have to do it themselves). Don't put it off altogether, they will soon wind you up as much as they did for me & you will change them eventually!

Yeah I can see it becoming more and more annoying...I’m noticing eeeeeveey car with LED daytime lights! Where abouts are you based? I’d be happy for you to do mine for a price of course!

Sorry, haven’t been on for a while. I’m based in the north east so wouldn’t be worth it for you really...probably be cheaper to get Audi to do it for what you would spend in fuel, ha!
