Wiper rubbing at bottom of windscreen

Evening all,

Ive just changed my windscreen wipers (front only, because I forgot to order the rear one) because they were smearing and I had a really annoying noise as the passenger side one was getting to the bottom of the screen on the n/s edge. The noise can only be described as a farting noise .

Having changed the wiper, the new one is making exactly the same noise in the same area. I went with Bosch Aero-Twin, so a reputable brand.

Any idea why it may be doing this & how to stop it?

Any **** bonded to the screen in that area? Use a blade to remove any **** on the glass and see if it helps.
