Hi All

Just wondering if anyone else with the same car experiences this? Mine is quite bad to the point my feel are often tingling for hours after driving. I've had it into Audi a few times, even gone for a drive with their tech to be told "that's normal they all do it sir" and tried to convince me it was just the road surface

I have heard before that this engine is known for being naturally gruff with vibrations, so can anyone else comment if theirs is the same or it's just mine?

Despite my best efforts, I can't pin point it to wheels or engine either, sometimes it feels engine related, and sometimes wheels.

thanks

Is the nature of the vibration altered by road speed, engine speed or road surface?

If road speed it may be down to some imbalance, possibly wheels out of balance or a slightly flat spotted tyre. If engine speed I would consider engine mountings (although unusual for this to be a problem on a relatively new car). If road surface, I would consider shock absorbers, suspension components, possibly the exhaust system….

Tricky one and I hope you get a resolution.

All the diesel A4's I've driven have vibrates, perhaps not to extent of tingling feet but definitely felt through the manual gearshift, steering wheel and foot pedals...

I find my 40 TDI really smooth...... but I did come from a BMW 320d which was hardly the epitome of smoothness. Seriously though, what you are describing does not sound normal and if Audi are taking 'they all do that' line, ask for a drive in a comparable car.
