Hi everyone. I'm new to owning a audi and was wondering if you could tell if I have a b6 or b7. I've been looking across the net and at pics I have the style of the b7 but was wondering if my car is to old being an 06 plate. Also on my centre console is a built in tape player (audi standard radio) so again is that a pre facelift design making it a b6. I'm just curious as I'm looking at a few bits and to know what version it is

Its a B7

My 2.0T Special Edition B7 is an 06 plate and has a tape and 6 disc headunit along with an aux in that i added

Cool. I think mine is single disc unless they all load through the head unit but I'm getting a new stereo on Sunday so that's no issue. Do you also only have 1 cup holder above the radio as that's really annoying me as I want 2 lol

Hi,mine is a b7 ,2005 year.1 din tape radio with rear disc player.

Ok. Mine is a double din. I will get a pic tomorrow as I want some other answers to questions lol

Sounds like the same as mine - 2006 too old? Nah.
I was toying with the idea of selling up and going back to a 2012/13 A6 C7, but the B7 suits me, so it's in the garage at the moment to have quite a bit of work done, then new front wings and a repaint in the near future as I'm keeping it for a good while.

I have the 6 CD (all fed through the single CD slot) double DIN stereo - it's OK, but I'd like to know how I could fit an Aux In socket!

I have seriously no idea about that. I'm getting a new touchscreen stereo with bluetooth and spotify and all other things. Probably work out best changing the stereo

If you are going aftermarket and staying Double DIN format make sure you get the correct fitting kit as you will need one wether you have full bose or half bose, and your head unit will be a Quadlock connection so the fitting kit will need the appropriate loom to link upto aftermarket ISO interface .
But I expect you have this all covered , but in case you didn't.
good luck.

I believe I have the full Bose. I got it from halfords and ordered all the extra connectors so hopefully wont be a drama when they fit it lol
