If you don't find a confident answer on here just ring up audi with the reg they will tell you if it has one, failing that jack it up and have a look there fairly obvious lumps of metal money grabbing bas***ds lol :)

Yea I know they are about £300. Stupid price. How does the engine start if the car doesn’t have a flywheel. Always thought the start motor turned the flywheel.
I’m assuming that it would just be a dual mass flywheel. They don’t use clutch plates in cvts?

Sorry Robbyb i had a long day yesterday i thought you put dpf :blink:
 
As far as I'm aware, they do have a clutch and dmf.

Torque converter based autos don't tend to have a flywheel as they have a heave torque converter in there, but there is a plate where the flywheel would be that is driven by the starter and has the torque converter attached to it. It's just not heavy enough to be considered a flywheel.
