Looking for a bit of advice on these chargers or thoughts.
My Audi A6 sits outside at the side of the house for a period of 3 - 4 months while I work Abroad.
Wife runs it every 2 weeks to keep the battery charged but this is not effective as it suffered a flat battery and had to be replaced under Warranty.
So was looking at fitting this Waterproof Maintenance Charger to the engine bay remote battery terminals and plug it into a outside 13 Amp socket.
Ring have this Charger (hopefully made in Leeds UK not China ) and thought this would suitable due to the stop start recommendation ie battery size to keep it topped up.
Not a Charger as Amps are small but will I think keep battery topped up.
Details from website are:
1A smart maintenance charger, ideal for connecting to infrequently used vehicles including classic cars, second cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers and more. Suitable for 6V and 12V vehicles and recommended for START/STOP batteries. Compatible with lead acid, gel, calcium, EFB and AGM batteries. Smart charge maintenance cycle keeps batteries in good condition, without overcharging. The compact design makes it easy to store, and the simple interface makes it easy to use: simply connect and select 6V or 12V. Rated IP65, making it weatherproof for charging outdoors.
Can't think of any other options as garage is too small to put car in.
Any problems come to mind fitting this ie Electronics in car / ECU etc ?
