Hi all,
I have read the various other posts relating to this fault code. I have it on my 2012 2.0 TDI Q3. The fault has been present for a few thousand miles now. Every now and again it goes off itself, and if I turn the MIL off, it can stay off for 50 miles, then come back on. I have used EGR cleaner, but I don't know whether this helps or not.
At the weekend I decided to use my Rosstech VCDS to try and troubleshoot it further, however unfortunately the results data doesn't mean much to me, nor the measuring blocks options. Does anyone have any advise on what to check to ensure it is the EGR valve before I dig deep ££ and get it replaced? (or rather try and find a garage willing to replace it... my usual garage are not returning my calls)

Please see VCDS output below, the fault frequency has increased since this output, probably a count of 80 now.

Many thanks Kev.

Thanks for replying Bobby. Do you mean just clear the MIL when it comes on and forget that it is happening? cheers

What about the dpf regeneration , isn't the egr a prerequisite on VAG to both regulate the pressure and temperature of regeneration ?
