Had two S3's now, both ordered from new, both Daytona.First was a 2015manual,latest,2019 5 door sb. (Prefered the 3 door tbh) anyway, just seen a silver S3 and thought,"I should have got silver"No "my colour is the best"would be great.
Any new buyers with colour regrets?

Ara blue is the best colour
I didn’t have any colour envy till I saw pics of a panther black on here. Stunning colour.

I have a Daytona Grey black edition but I quite like red and also silver.

The black pack that the BE edition comes with looks good (to me) in a red saloon.

Best colour is spepang blue same as mine oh and black edition too

Nice colours.

Mate of mine had a sepang blue RS4 which was rapid, he got bored of that and bought an RS6 in nardo grey which is insanely fast.

Don't have colour envy ....at all I don't like most of the colours that are available on the A3 /S3/RS3 for various reasons but if I had no choice but to have one it would be in Floret Silver and
Nardo grey that's been mentioned above ..... is the worst grey paint ever to be sprayed on to any car ...... Horrendous

Not "colour envy" as such...but I really wish I was brave enough to have spec'd either Viper Green, Solar Orange or Vegas Yellow. (in that order) - instead of "boring blue"

Which boring blue did you go for?
Careful with your answer:wink:

I almost pressed the button on Vegas but my girlfriend talked me out of it and I know I would have looked a right plumb in the work car park.

I think Navarra is pretty classy, had a Daytona TT which always looked smart. As Jassy says above Floret is a lovely colour, looks awesome with the black pack and blades on RS3’s.

I saw a viper green S3 Saloon the other day, the renderings on the audi website don't do it justice but it's bang on in the flesh.

I used to think like this but then realised it doesn't actually matter and just try to enjoy the car for what it is

Also, if you had the silver all this time and then saw the daytona grey you'd probably be saying the exact same thing about daytona.

BTW I think daytona grey looks amazing on the S3. Especially on the saloon

How’s Navarra to maintain? I saw a demo S5 at the dealers the other day and it looked really smart but it was only 3 months old and covered in swirls and scratches already - I know they were probably using a scouring pad to wash it daily but it is quite dark paint colour when it’s not in the light and they’re usually to worst to keep on top of.

Ara has been a doddle to maintain although I did get it ceramic coated when new.

No regrets here, Didn't buy new so I didn't have the choice freedom, but held out for a panther black and although the blue cars look nice I always feel superior and smug :) when its clean anyways

Nardo grey looks like they've primed it and forgotten to put the top coat on

However if I had any slight regrets it would be having chrome. But not sure how the black pack would look on panther????
Agree with about but if I had an rs (hopefully next car) id consider Nardo with black wheels. Not a huge fan on the colour alone but it just works on the rs.

I've always preferred chrome over the black edition. Makes it stand out more from the A3 and looks more classy too. Ara + Chrome is probably my favourite look on the S3.

I have to agree there the Chrome gives it definition especially on the S3 but Deffo Black edition on the RS3 as it looks more hardcore especially with the Nardo,

Knowing then what I know now, I'd have bought the S3 in white or silver rather than black, thrown an extended warranty on it and kept if for 5 years.

Hmmm well I have it detailed and it looks to be in good condition but.... I have never actually washed it myself since picking it up February 2016.

Glos detailing last had it in the summer and hasn’t been touched since, will be going back to them in March I think.

I know it’s bad but I’ve never really got into detailing myself, I’d struggle to make the time and it goes onto a farm on a daily basis.

You haven’t cleaned your car in 2 year?!?!
Not even a quick hosing down?
Does it look like a state in between detailing sessions?

lol that's nothing, a mate of mine has had a silver van for 10 years and he's never washed it!!! TBH you wouldn't think so...the rain cleans it lol.

My last company car went almost 3 years without a wash, well apart from a free sandblasting at the dealers for the servicing. Cars are like dreadlocks they take care of themselves after about 6 months,
The S3 gets at least one wash a week though :)

Ah right fair enough that’s re-assuring to hear. To be honest I’m a bit the same I like my cars to be in good condition I’m pretty ocd like that but I don’t like the effort required to wash them :tearsofjoy: wash my S3 at least once a month but wouldn’t say I enjoy doing it, pleased with the results once it’s done though haha

Love my Ara Blue and chrome...Sepang Blue though is still my favourite.
Here is a pic of the front and the rear end looks way better in chrome as it shows more detail in the grey valance. than the black edition. Just my opinion.

I loved my old panther black S3 with Black pack and will always miss it
You have to be prepared to put the effort in but on a sunny day or under the lights it was glorious.
To be fair though after a while you get used to whatever colour you have.
I have a floret SQ5 now and it's equally as nice but in a different way.

Here's a pic of my lotus grey A3 the other day. Was originally looking for a darker grey but fell in love with this. Colour changes all the time, some days it looks silver, some days it looks nardo grey and in the sun it has a slight pink tinge to it. So really the opposite of colour envy :whistle2:

Strange colour choice on a S-line car mate especially it being so close to differeniate between it from other silver paints
