Does anyone have a 190 quattro? I'm trying to get an idea of what they should realistically be getting with regards to MPG.

I've just come from a B9 190 which gave me over 50mpg, into the B8.5 with the same engine but with quattro and I'm struggling to get high 30's. Does quattro really have that much impact?

I recently drove down to the French Alps with my 2 litre S-tronic Quattro B8.5 with a loaded car and myself and two passengers, admitting tho the french traffic was nonexistent, and doing 80mph, the car returned 46-47 MPG with what I was seriously Impressed with.
P.s was also riding on my 17 inch winter wheels/tyres, verses my normal 19 inch wheels.
Hope this helps.

Was a long run tho, I did a 30 minute motorway journey earlier and got around 39 -40 ish mpg.

When i first got my current 177 tdi Quattro it too was doing mid 30s.

After a few weeks of use it settled down to low to mid 40s doing a daily roundtrip commute of 55 miles.

Now its usually around 39 to 44 on daily commutes.

Well I gave it a bit of a hard time for a full tank that was filled up by the dealer last week just to see if it needed loosening up a bit. I've re-filled with V Power to see if that makes any difference so I'll settle down with normal daily driving now, reset the trip and see what the results are over the next couple of tanks.

Cold weather absolutely kills diesel fuel economy, even more so than petrol.

I've been driving diesels for years but they've always been company cars so I've never really taken any notice. Now I'm self employed and using my own car every mile counts.
