So I have had my car for around 10 weeks 3 of those my car was sat outside my home whilst I was on holidays.

Had my car back from dealer today and all tyres are below 3mm

Looked at an earlier inspection report when car was 2 weeks old and one tyre was on 2.5mm and the other 3 were at 3mm

I have done around 1500 miles since I have had it

Is there a suggested depth for tyres on approved audis

I need 4 new tyres. Car has done less than 16000 miles

I think it's 6mm but may be 4mm. I was told to hand back my pcp S4 with 6mm all round. But sure I've read Audi approved are min of 4mm all round. Hope that helps.

16000 sounds like average tyre wear to me. What is it you are trying to achieve as the dealership isn't responsible under any warranty for normal wear and tear..

just wondering whether they should have changed at least one tire before the car was sold to me.

the one that was 2.5 mm

One of mine is on the same, noted at it's recent service, but all they stated was it is advised to have it changed. The UK law requires car tyres to have a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm in a continuous band around the central three quarters of the tyre....

If you have the service plan with brakes and tyres from Audi then they expect you to change them at 3mm. I don't know that helps?

I'm sure Audi and VW are the same and my VW garage said minimum they would sell an AUC is 3mm. I had this conversation at the stealers as the wife's Golf had 4 advisories on the MOT with between 4 and 4.5mm on all 4 tyres. I asked if they would sell the car as an AUC and they said 3mm was the limit. The conversation then went on to them selling cars that would have MOT advisories and they had no answer. But that's off topic, sorry!!

So I'd say you have a case.
