I have emailed a few company's over the past week asking if they can supply a full Silicone hose kit for my 1.8T BEX engine. Not much joy from any of the main players, mix and match or buy bit's to make up the required bend ect ect.

Have you any idea what kits would be the closest match - and consequently which bits you would still need?

The water hose are the same as most b6 1.8T's but the intake hose for the BEX engine is a NO Go..

Ah, I didn't realise that. Thanks for the info.

In honesty I'm not looking to change my intake hose as I don't want the engine bay to suggest modifications have been made unless I have to - but ahead of my remap I looked into it just incase the OEM one experienced collapse. The Forge site only mentions suitability for B6 but this site specifically suggests it is suitable for the BEX engine code. Is it wrong? https://pgperformance.com/product.php?productid=16414

If I did end up having to replace the inlet hose then I too would probably want to upgrade other hoses and it would be nice to keep them all from the same manufacturer.

I'm also in the search for a better Turbo Inlet Hose/Turbo Inlet Pipe/TIP/Forced induction. Many names of the same stuff. It's most likely a must with a modified engine to get better responce, flow and avoid collapsing hose. I have Powerchip stage1, Milltek full exhaust system with sport cat ordered.

BEX engine has an inlet hose with 5 small hoses, other 1.8T including B5 have only 4. Visible on the Forge link.

- Oettinger had an aluminium pipe earlier, not available today. I have asked them earlier this year and got answer NO despite their site.

- O.CT tuning has a metal pipe too. They say 1.8T B6, the pipe and its outlets look strange but might be able to connect to all needed connections anyway by another design.
I have sent a question to them about compatibility with BEX
O.CT Tuning - O.CT Intake hose

- "Neuspeed Xtreme 1.8T Turbo Intake Hose" is another one that seems to be compatible. About $300 US + shipping and customs for people in Europe.
I have sent a question about this one. Neuspeed Xtreme 1.8T Turbo Intake Hose, Boost Hoses/Plumbing, Forced Induction, Neuspeed Products & Other Performance Aftermarket Auto Parts - North American Motorsports

I hope that there are other good alternatives for a BEX engine. The better ones seems to cost a lot, 300-400 €uro, almost twice as the Forge FMA4B6IND.

Anyone else that have good experiences of turbo inlet hose upgrade, BEX engine?

Got answer from O.CT. Their hose is OK with BEX. Casted aluminium will never collaps.
I'll go for that when I have 390 €uro to spend. I have just installed a Milltek Turbo-back exhaust:music:
I hope soon when I'll replace the valves connected here at the same time. N75(J) and Bosch Diverter valve

I have now installed a better Turbo inlet pipe. Metal pipe that is rigid, no chance to flex and cause bad acceleration.
Ordered from Evolution Racewerks in USA. 1.8T Turbo Inlet Pipe (TIP) |

I changed the boost control valve at the same time. From my original N75F to N75J to avoid the surging at harder acceleration when engine is really warm (OEM inlet hose extra soft?). The cable to N75 had to be extended when the N75J connector is turned the other way. + 20cm made the installation easy. All done from above, but took some time due to the oem clamps that had to be broken without damaging the hoses.

New diverter valve, BOSCH 110 Valve just for sure to get a fresh one (std is 114), done at a local workshop at the same time as installing the better sway bar. RS4 B7 sway bar 22 mm, (instead of A4 sport chassi 18mm) a pure bolt on and cheap upgrade.
The car is really better now!

Edit: More about diverter valves.

Nice post . I will ask them about there shipping cost's to the UK

If it is the TIP you want. Shipment to Sweden $50US. Price total w shipment, tax and other governmental theft: appr. 250 Euro.

Important to pick correct one with 5 connections to other hoses. "B6.5 A4 (03-05)" was the one I bought and it was correct. The older has only 4.
The thin hose to the pipe beside the airbox, I used the old one when this on the TIP had too small diam. I used rubber vulcanizing tape to make the pipe on TIP thicker to fit OEM hose.

I also bought some extra clamps in stainless steel so I used better size and not too big with long sharp stick out. N75 hoses and airbox removal need some small ones. The 90 degree small hose connecting the pipe from upper crankcase ventilation to the TIP got new clamps in both ends to adjust it perfect with the TIP.

I used extra of these clamps:
Mini clamps, set of 4
8-10 mm
11-13 mm
14-16 mm
Normal hose clamps, set of 2
22-29 mm (2x 2)
13-16 mm (2x2)

The clamps I got left over shipped with the TIP will most likely be used in the future when they all are of good quality.
It was easier to fit the TIP with the hose on the tip to fit the turbo inlet.
A piece of not used plastic sticking out 3-4 cm beside the electric engine cooling fan was an obstacle for the fitment of the TIP. I snapped it off when I could not see any use for it.

I am looking at fitting the BEX turbo to my B5 1.8T. I have the Neuspeed Xtreme TIP (some pics here https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/neuspeed-xtreme-turbo-intake-pipe.16965/)

However the BEX compressor inlet (K03-73) looks to be a tiny but bigger than the K03-005 so the adaptor plate doesnt seem to fit. It was snug on the K03-005 and the K04-15 I had fitted years ago but went on. I measured the inlet and it 45mm on the BEX K03-73 and 44mm on the K03-005.

The other thing is the adaptor retaining holes that bolt the adaptor are lightly further out on the BEX K03-73 than on the K04-15 and K03-005.

I am thinking of getting either just a new silicone TIP or getting the adaptor machined slightly so I can fit it.

Anyone else had any issues? I guess the BEX turbo is quite uncommon.
