As the title suggests, the SlinQuat is off the road as of Sunday, got tagged in the N/S/R quarter by a Norwegian on their hols... N/S/R Door, Quarter Panel and Wheel took the brunt of it.. not sure yet if there's chassis/drivetrain damage. Maybe find out by the end of the week.


I'll upload pictures as soon as i figure out how to compress the pictures down to under 2mb on the phone to upload them (wtf?)
 
Oh no, that's a bummer, if you are using android then there are plenty of photo resizer apps out there..

Sorry to hear that, in June our B9 was hit by a Latvian gentleman who spoke no English, who decided he didn't need to give way to traffic coming from the right on a roundabout, needed new offside front wing, front valance and wheel refurb, thankfully he was insured but we'll be waiting another few months at least before our excess is refunded, haven't posted before and after repair pics yet but will start a thread when I can locate them.

Hope the damage is limited to panels and that you get yours repaired properly as soon as possible.

Excuse my ignorance...but what on earth is `VOR` and `SlinQuat`?
 
Ha.. sorry yes, VOR is Vehicle Off Road.

Yeah, just need to wait and see what the body shop and insurance say.. still don't know if there's chassis/drivetrain damage. Car was pulling all over the place on the drive home
 
If the rear tracking is out than other a track rod or suspension component then the chassis could be warped...
 
Got the car back today..

Nearly 2 months in for repair.. and it'll be going back for rectification because I can see where the new 1/4 panel has been blended into the bodywork

No pics because it's dark, and no names of body shops either.. I'll wait until it's fixed right
 
i had a Golf GTD with exactly the same damage. Absolutely impossible to tell once it came back from body shop, so it can be done.
