So i think time has come to see what opitions i have re my turbo as i beive its on it ways out
reasons are limp mode overboost eml on thought i had cured it with a couple of flush of redex in tank but this has only worked for 4months now im getting limp mode and over boost code at least twice a week although the last week i have no eml come on i have read about the n75 but have seen it dose not solve most people problem.
so people what are my opitions and cost likley to incured with recommed garges near midlands as ive lost all faith in my local vag specilst.

Millers Eco max diesel additive is really good at freeing stuff up.
You haven't by any chance got a piggy back performance chip on your car have you? Coz that can cause over boost and limp mode, if you have id take it off!

It is better to remove it as you can really clean it out.....but it is a PITA to take off. Well my 170 was anyway.

I have seen people doing it with it still in situe but it may not clean the top vanes that well.

I can understand it being a little daunting Martin but in all honesty it's more fiddly than hard.

No just basic tools. Mainly a socket set and spanners but I bet you could get away with just spanners.

If you have removed the EGR cooler can have the turbo off in around 20mins, nice and easy on the pd140/170 engine :)

Removed and fitted a new unit in under a hour on mine but I don't have any of the EGR crap on my engine will take you a bit longer if you still do.

Use a 6 sided 12mm socket for the turbo to manifold nuts
