Who/what do you watch on YouTube?

Hi all,

I was wondering what people enjoy watching on YouTube? I have been filming car content for just over a year now and nothing has really stuck per say. I am wanting to move my channel to a more niche direction and while I have a rough idea in where I want to go I'd love to hear what it is you enjoy watching on YouTube in general?

It's such a saturated space, automotive youtube content, so differentiation is very difficult. I had the pleasure of filming with Joe Achillies last week which got me thinking maybe I should go brand specific like he has with BMW but for another brand?

I also get quite a bit of positive feedback for my Cars and Keepers series but do you enjoy watching other people give their stories on their own cars instead of someone who may be better in front of the camera, but hasn't lived with the car etc?

Sorry lots of questions but one thing I have not been good at over the last 12 months is asking my audience what they think/want and have made my own presumptions and gone wild!

Any time you could spare to feedback would be hugely appreciated.

I do like your cars and keepers series. I watch the following channels on different subjects:

Living life fast
Redmen tv
HITC
Autotrader
Carwow
The true Geordie
Carfection

And if Arsenal lose Arsenal fan tv is always entertaining.

Someone I know has been doing it a few years and he has 45k subscribers and it took forever to get that far. Think he gets about 10p a view max off the big DnB labels like hospital records. It's hard work but you could always talk to him for advice?

I think I shall, thank you. Yes it is difficult but to be honest it's not so much about the money really, I just like to create content and want my viewers to enjoy it!

You need to definitely do a review on your car. I know when I was looking at videos on S3 8P there's just nothing on there

Well nick, you know I'm subscribed to your channel. I have really enjoyed the cars and keepers videos. Keep up the great work. Would be cool to see more of your own car. Are you going to ADI on Saturday at castle coombe. Be cool if you going to see your videos of that. Just keep doing what your doing as your vids are always excellent. :) x

Talking of YouTube this can't be true. 2 of the biggest tools on there 'joe Weller' and KSI are having a fight next year? Why?????? This is why kids are messed up these days watching those 2 tw@ts

Yes you are completely right! I am actually going to the Nurburgring next month, I am thinking I may film the bulk of it as part of that trip just to give it a bit more than a usual review!

Thanks Sandra, appreciate all of your support! I am hoping to get to ADI at the weekend but unfortunately not 100% confirmed yet. If I do, rest assured I shall be filming!

Thanks Scott, yes I also really like Joe's content and he is a genuinely nice guy in real life too which is great! Video we shot should be out in the next couple of weeks (just waiting for the embargo on one of the cars to be lifted), TopGear have the exclusive!
