All,
I finally got around to retrofitting cruise to my B7 yesterday, following the sticky installation guide on here. The 4th digit coding was changed to a 4 as per instruction but when scanning with VCDS the steering wheel module flagged an 'incorrect coding' error.

Does anyone have any idea on a diagnostic for this? or anything I can try to get it going?
My car DOES have a MFSW & this is operational- In case you needed that info

The cruise kit was purchased from Cardiff Audi and also came with a patching cable, their install guide mentioned this was not required if MFSW is fitted. Is this the case?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

Go into module 16-steering wheel and check for fault codes.. Should tell you exactly what's the error.
Plus.
Try put the old coding unplug VCDS and restart.. That might help.
Having mfsw makes it easier because the module is compatible with cruise control.
If it doesn't work I'd suggest taking everything apart and re-check connections to see if all its where it should.

Have you done the engine ecu also? They both need to be set to cruise enabled or it will flag up a mismatch
