Alright guys,

Currently driving a 2016 CLA45 and looking at a possible move to Audi.

Now my current possibilities are the C63 Coupe or depending on test drive when my local dealer eventually gets an RS5 in, one of those.

Has anyone seen one yet? Carwow are offering some very good discounts for the C63 at the moment so will have to see how the RS5 will fare in comparison with it being brand new.

Also the obvious sensible option would be the S5. How does this compare to the RS and C63? Has anyone had experience with one? Loving the new Audi interior! That's one of the major things that has got me thinking.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Personal opinion only: the C63 strikes me as a bit of a hot rod in an Armani suit. Which kinda leaves me a bit cold. Great soundtrack, though. The new RS5 may be the closest thing to a genuine modern GT (in the formal sense of the expression) I’ve seen.

While I've got a 64 plate A5 convertible, I've been considering a move in the direction of a C63s.
I recently did some digging to find some info on the up & coming S5/RS5 too.

I agree, the appearance of the new generation Audi interior is very good. The way they continue the vanes in the dash board, face level vents, above the glove box, is a neat touch, imo. I like the general layout and appearance of the centre console and the smaller, sharper, looking details on the steering wheel, too.

However, small point, I'm of the opinion Audi should have maintained the V8 engine in the RS, leaving the V6 for the S. Although I'm sure the new RS will still go well and sound Ok.

Thanks for the replies!

Yeh my biggest issue is coming from the 4 cylinder CLA45 I wanted the V8 engine. After seeing that it was going to be a V6 it held me back a little bit. I'm hoping the exhaust note is closer to a C63 as apose to the M3/4.

I'l keep anyone who'/ interested updated with my decisions.

to be fair i think its a twin turbo.

trust me mate twin turbo v6 over a v8 NA any day

I'm pretty sure the C63 is a 4.0 Twin turbo also though? I don't track the cars despite being very close to the nurburg ring at the moment but I love the twin turbo in my lttle 4 pot.

I mean the old v8 rs5. And mercs are great, but its good to switch it up abit

Apologies! Yeh I agree it's good to mix it up, I had been looking at BMW's also but they'43 really not doing it for me. That and their residuals aren't very impressive at all. In Germany at the moment for work so going to visit the local dealership here to see if I can get a look at the RS5
