3 bodyshop guys have taken a look. 2 said new door, 1 said repair.

I will probably go down the new door route to be sure.

The question is.....will a saloon front door fit an avant?

If it was me, I would probably just get that repaired, you are looking a few hundred quid, but should be as good as new if you go to a decent bodyshop to get that done.

Front doors are the same I believe

Welcome to the forum @j4yt33. I know that looks a shocker, but like Nilz says, a good repair should see you home and dry.

More importantly, is your wife OK and did you give a her a big hug and tell her it doesn't matter? :)

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Everyone was fine cheers. Our twin girls were in the back at the time and kept sound asleep.

I have managed to get a stripped door for £75. Similar colour but not the same so should be a good Base colour. The way I see it, I've just spent a lot of money on this car (3 weeks ago), so I'd rather have a straight door than have a door full of filler.

Will it be easy enough for me to fit and swap ove all the interior trim on my drive with few tools?
