Hi guys!!
Anyone knows that c6 body is compatible with c7?
I'd like to give a c7 look...so thinking to change the bumper, sidewings, lights and a hood...is that possible at least??
Thanks

I'll join the question but I'm after the rear diffusor iff C7 onto C6.

Anyone knows?

I did not use the "it" word in sod all.. Body wise nothing from the C7 will fit the C6 they are just too different.

Of course they different. That's the whole idea.

I've seen A4 B6 completely remade into the B7, from outside. Owner was prepared to modify he's B6 in such a way so the B7 pieces will fit on. You could probably get the new B7 for the time, effort and money put together but you kill all the fun from it.

Also, seen A4 B7 with a custom front bumper adapted half from B7 and half from B8. He cut diagonally in half both bumper and matched up B7 upper part to match with wings, bonnet and lamps, with B8 bottom part. He achieved excellent result. How chuffed this guy was. There is no car like his in the entire world.

Question is: are you prepared to go with it, custom make it/tweak it a little bit or just want simple bolt-on swap?

If rear diffusor from C7 A6 would need some minor modification to fit onto my C6, I would do it.

Replacing the whole front, I wouldn't. Unless had the money and time.

B6 & B7 is just about the same car , even the interior was the same. However there is a lot of work and cost to fit the B7 front end on a B6, even with the similarities.

There are no body panels that would directly fit on the C6 from the C7, but I'm sure if you are good with metal bashing and a welder then anything is possible but the cost would be ££££. The OP was asking if the bumper, wings, bonnet & lights would just fit, to which they won't. There would also be issues the trying to get the C7 lights to work with the C6 electrics.

Other issues would be trying to get the wings to fit as the A pillar is a different size, the crease line that runs the length of the car is a different height and the bottom of the doors/sill is a completely different shape.

The rear bumper is a different shape, also the diffusor is over 20cm wider on the C7 compared c6 diffusor.

There you go. This is the explenation Bahaman was after.

You're welcome Bahaman:salute:

Thank you B5nut for the input.

That was my understanding, also the OP joined on the 9th wrote the same post twice and has never been seen again, I'm not going to write long convoluted post for members that have a single post no introductions and won't add anything to the forum, I Just don't have the time, and I've seen it far to many times over the years.

Wow!
Haven't We all started from nothing in here?
I'm doing all I can and best to my knowledge to help other users with their queries so I can learn further.

You didn't need to say anything if you don't have time to explain the matter a bit clearly.
Someone else could've done it.

This is why some people don't want to share their opinions, help, ideas. Because there aleays be somebody else who will say two words thinkimg he explained it all.

Good luck to all in here, with this one

Hi

Is this what you are looking for? I know it's not a full conversion, but close enough

Hi Kris

The rear valance is nice, but wont fit an Sline :(. I am also looking at rear diffuser options, but couldn't find anything for the Sline.

Correct. It is sad that We cannot do a simple swap overs.

It will not stop me to do other mods by compromise. HaHa
