Facelift Aerial not colour coded?

Ibis white FL S3 sportback delivered today, but have just noticed that the shark fin aerial is a gloss black!

Is this right?

Had a very quick look through the photo thread and the ones I've seen all seem to match paintwork colour. Except the yellow S3 that was collected recently (can't remember user name, sorry if I have now made you aware of this )
There are 2 white FL S3 on autotrader at Newcastle Audi that have white aerials??

Could this be a metallic/non-metallic issue where non-metallic cars aren't colour coded?

Thoughts please

Just had a look at mine and it is colour coded to the car (Daytona)

Likewise. Navarra Blue car, Navarra blue antenna.

If that was me with the Vegas S3 then yes, i did notice it was black but thought that was just how it was now :) i could understand if it was a BE but a bit odd as its the only black bit.

Was so bummed about missing Audi Beam i didn't even notice aerial until i got home :-(

Haha I've actually not checked if I've got Audi beam either better have a look tomorrow.

I've had A4 (x2), A5 coupe, TT (x2), S3 Saloon and all had fins body coloured.
The only puzzler was the S5 Sportback which had almost identical technology to my A5 coupe but yet it didn't have a fin at all.
The only non-body-coloured fins I've seen is where the owner has modded it (eg. carbon fibre wrapped).

Were they all metallic paint options? That is the only thing different for the OP
 
Just spoke with supplying dealer who is going to look into this, did say they were unaware if the spec had been changed or not.
 
I've just taken delivery of an ibis white FL S3 sportback and the 'fin' is gloss black. I just assumed it was a design feature, I quite like it!

Maybe Audi have started following the VW route in not colour coding? All the latest golfs I've seen have black aerials.

I guess gloss black looks a lot better than dull plastic looking black. Do some VW's not have have the cheap dull looking black ones...?

Glad to here there's more then, maybe has been a spec change then. I'm undecided on the contrast, but it does tie in well with gloss black on the edges of the spoiler.
 
Hmm maybe they're just cost-saving now then

My PFL MY16 Glacier White SB has colour coded fin. Wouldn't mind if it was black as it would go with the Audi Black Pack :)
