TTS ENGINE COVER-BOLT ISSUE RECTIFIED

Hi guys/gals,

As some of you maybe aware that Audi have blocked one of the bolts that you need to carry out this modification.

They'll only let you buy one if you prove with photos and chassis number that your old one is 'sh4gged' for want of a better word. Obviously you can't...as they're not fitted on the S3's etc.

So i have scoured the UK to find these bolts - I now have enough to cover 5 sets of TTS engine covers.



Please use the parts request system to order - once they're gone, they really are...gone.



So for the kit which includes the following:

WHT000731A x 2
06E103164 x 1
06F103925J x 1



£120.00 inc VAT Delivered.
 
They didnt give me a reason - i can only assume that Audi aren't keen on the modifying route.

Also this is the cheapest I've ever seen them for new.

You have to provide a chassis number of your TT and if its missing completely probably book in to an Audi dealership and create a expediting request with Job card, pictures, and diss report. Then provide full detailed reasons why you need this bolt even though its obvious its "missing". Then they'll consider it

Simple enough if you have a TT.....but impossible if you don't.

It also wouldnt be warranty as to be warranty you need the phyiscal old/broken part to claim against. Then if it was broken by a tech, it still wouldnt be warranty.

So that would mean perhaps goodwill(long shot) or mosty likely a labour charge for doing this out of the consumers pocket.

Or to go hassle free...talk to me.. :)

Thats it for now - last one sold.

For those who missed it - get in touch and i'll pull some strings my end - will take a little longer to get them bolts but i'm sure i'll sort something...

To make it a bit easier so i know numbers.

Put your name down in here if you want one. Then in a couple of days time,say Thursday i'll try and work some of my magic for more bolts.


No promises though, not the easiest things to get your hands on.

Regarding the bolts though, Could you not source some suitable one's from a motor factors etc..?
 
They have ball heads on them with 2 variations of sizes.

Its those longer ones that are the buggers to get hold of.
 
Hmmm yeah, Now I've seen them I guess you would struggle.

I'm pretty sure across the VAG range though they'll use something very similar, Infact I know they do as I've seen/removed bolts like that before not sure whether they would actually work or not though..It would be good if you could get hold of some and try them though....
 
All TPS sites bar Wakefield who only have qty 1 and Audi Camberley Audi which has 2.

So unless you're local to the following sites:

St Albans TPS (showing 2)
Belfast TPS (showing 6)
Dartford TPS (showing 3)
Edinburgh TPS (showing 3)
Camberley Audi (showing 2)
North Wales TPS (showing 2)
Milton Keynes TPS (Showing 1)
Wakefield Audi (Showing 1)


Then it'll be a little awkward to buy them as TPS are usually pretty reluctant to post.

Yes I can, but i cant in this case as to get hold of the part you have to first place the order, let it go on our back order list, then request a dealer to dealer transaction.

Now we can't do that as we cant place that initial order. The part just gets excluded.

So realistically you'll have to physically be at the place that is selling them.
 
Stupidly bought the rest of the part's as a birthday present to myself, thinking it wouldn't be an issue to get the 2 bolts....
Was recommended by Sheridan94 to get in contact with you, so i've put a part request in for them, if you can help that'd be awesome!
 
Do you have a pic of the engine cover and would this fit straight onto my A3 2.0TFSI 2006? Do you have any more?
 
Hi guys - i've been on holiday since the 19th Dec an go back the 4th Jan so will look into getting some more for you all - fingers crossed.

Hello bud are u able to get hold of these bolts (WHT000731A) I can't get hold of any to save my life! Got the TTS cover and the front screw all I need the the rear 2
 
I'm still in the begging process from factory.

The ones showing in stock above are exhausted now. (either that or they wont sell them to me as they are like golden nuggets)

I'll certainly let everyone know if i suceed.

I know 2 people who are trying to get some of these made up, No update as of yet though....
 
I managed to get hold of 2 that came up so snapped them up straight away. Got everything to fit TTS cover on now inc the cover but may sell it as a kit
