i am really fancying the new TTS what are people's thoughts on this?

If you want one act NOW, there are some great deals at the moment with Audi putting in £5000 deposits contribution on a PCP.
My Niece bought a TDI sport before christmas and got £7500 discount!!

Not sure I should participate in this as I've gone on record several times with the old hairdresser quotes!!

............but it's growing on me..................not sure I'd own one though ;)

Haha I know I said it last night to my mate and all the hairdresser jokes came out lol.

Yes on my consider list ..had one for the weekend a few months ago and very impressed, just need to get the kids through Uni so i don't have to be a removal service between terms. That said would not buy new as not sure it deserves ca 8k+ premium over an S3

Really imressed by the vitual cockpit especially in nav mode and how it toggles seemlessly between display modes. Really got to see it in the flesh to appreciate it

Strange prices on the TT's, if you spec a manual on their website and look at the quote, it costs more than the S-tronic on a PCP per month....The S3 is more for the S-tronic on a PCP!

I did post a quote on here a few weeks back £6192 off!!!:

Your Offer ID 361641 carwowcouk

Nope.... S3 ticks far more boxes.

I might be tempted up to an RS3 but that's about it

Forget all the rubbish about the image. It's an absolutely fantastic car.

IMO the TTS steers better, handles better and has a way better driving position over the 8V S3/RS3. It's a properly sorted Audi. The interior is also a work of art too. If you haven't driven one then I would suggest you do!

In Sepang with the anthracite wheels it looks stunning in the flesh. The main issue is the price as others have said. It does make the S3 look a bit of a bargain.

Can't wait for the TTRS to arrive.....if it handles the same as the TTS then it will be amazing with that 5 cylinder.

Shame it's going to be the wrong side of £50k. :weary:

That's all as maybe... But it doesn't have enough seats or room.

If I could live with a 2 seater with no boot space and I have 50K or more to spend I'm either in a Porsche or an F Type Jag

lts's got Uber LOOKS THOUGH...mate...sensible people wo

Very True in real road world terms, but a well optioned TT 230 quattro will cost ye near enough the same as a manual TTS..??
True, I'd have to see what you get as standard on the TTS and see if they would be used/wanted! I'm not big on options TBH, as I feel a lot of what I want/need is standard! BUT I'd be tempted to go S-tronic on a (non TTS) TT purely down to it being cheaper to get on a PCP over the manual....which is a bit mad!

Thats good to hear what you want from a car.

My post was answering the OP who asked about the TTS....

you are right, it has a far better driving position than 8V.

at home having the S3 and RS3 I just can say the S3 handles way better than RS3 so highly doubt TTRS will handle as well as the TTS.

TTS drives far better than both the S3 and the RS3. Maybe down on power compared to the RS, but the way it feels, turns, is damped and the interior (especially the seating position) are all vastly superior. Looks far better too.
Best Audi I've driven and the only recent / current S/RS I've not yet had a go in is the V10 R8.

Sure the RS3 will possibly leave it in a straight line, but the TTS will catch up when a bend is thrown at it. The TT driver will be having more fun too.

Tempted?...I was and got myself one.
Won't go into details but is a better car than my S3 without any doubt. Looks stunning, handles like a dream and has great sports seats and a perfect driving position. I paid £40k for mine In September (£5k discount).
Is it worth the £10k over the S3? Probably not, is the RS3 worth £10k over an S3? Definitely not!!

The S3 doesn't feel special whilst you are driving it or looking at it IMO, yes it is just about as quick as the TTS, but I know what I'd rather own.
People will always say how expensive it is for a 2ltr 4 pot, but there is more to consider about a car package than just the size of the engine.

Their are deals to be had, expensive ? Yes, but you only live once ✊

I am tempted by the new tt and you can pick up 2015 cars from around £26k. I think I am getting that over 60 years old syndrome...

I'm always saying to the wife "Size isn't everything, it's the complete package that counts" :p ;)

Where does the TTS's +10ps up on the S3 come from ?

I used to have a TTS, not the new model of course, twas fabulous loved it. Did consider TTRS but I found that for me (just like the RS3) the heavy front end put me off.

My partner had a S Line TT 2 litre TFSI Quattro as a courteosy car while her A1 when getting an MOT.

I couldn't believe how fun it was to drive. If it was just that little bit more practical then I would have definitely started to question whether I had made the right decision in buying an S3 saloon.

Been lucky enough to take the V10 R8 PLUS out on a track for half a dozen laps as well as having the TTS loaner and..........

TTS driving position is better than the S3 and R8 is a further step better than the TTS

Cheers mate.
After a scuba blue Mk2 TT, then an Estoril blue S3, I said to myself I wouldn't have another blue car...white or red I said to myself.....but when I saw the TTS in sepang....done deal lol
