Bumper Conversion

Hi,

Looked at loads of bumper conversion threads on here from split grills to the newer but can't quite find the answer I need.

I've currently got an 2008 A3, (8P2 i think) with this style bumper on.

I want to put the newer style A3 (8P3 i think) bumper on as follows -

Does anyone have any idea what's needed, obviously apart from the bumper. I think it's the split grill to 8p2 where you need a new bonnet?

Yeah, as above + bonnet & grille. It's not worth it unless you can get genuine parts cheap & fitting yourself.

You're better off fitting an 8P2 S-Line bumper which is a straight swap and nice upgrade.
 
you basically need all the external panels you can physically see from the A-pillar forwards, i.e entire front end
 
Front end including bonnet, its not a cheap job, one we've done numerous times for clients.
 
Yeah, ignore what I said about the bonnet, the reason didn't go for the 8p3 conversion on mine was due to it costing more than I paid for the car
 
Okay, so you've pretty much convinced me it's not worth it... Now I'm on the look out for an S Line Bumper. Does anyone know if the existing grille will fit the S Line Bumper until I can find an actual S line one?
