Hello all,
I was posting here around a month or two ago in regards to an Audi A3 8L 1.8T Sport, Unfortunately had an idiot write my project off the road.
Yesterday I purchased a 53 plate Audi A3 8P 2.0 SE FSI. I drove it home, worked perfect. I drove it a few more times to shops and back and what not however through my last journey I made the engine management light appeared of the dashboard which I found pretty odd. I read up on a few posts on the forums stating resetting the car can help this issue (unplug the battery for 30 minutes). So I did this...
This made the light dissapear and the car appeared perfectly fine although it was still driving fine with the light illuminated. This morning I've gone to drive to the petrol station as I only had a quarter tank of fuel left and the power steering light seemed to have illuminated and the power steering wasn't functioning at all. I've tried to reset the car serveral times throughout today by unplugging the battery to no avail.
I can't seem to get the power steering light to dissapear and make it function again. This has only happened since I unplugged the battery the first time.
Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever to correct this issue ? I don't currently own and software to plug the car in to get any error codes.
Here she is anyway;
She come with Full Service History
93,000 miles
MOT History
and around 3 grand worth of receipts for work carried out since 2013 (including timing belt, cam belt, head gasket set, and so much more).
Pretty good bargain for only £1,700 in my opinion ?
