18" alloy / lowering and tyres on your S3 examples please

Hi chaps,

I have an ebony black S3 210 2001 little beaut.

I have decided to change the wheels from my RS4 19" things that i purchased the car with for some 18s as i think 18s will probably drive better and in some ways look nicer.

I understand you may advise me to check google images or to search the forum (which i have a hell of a lot) however, it would be ace if you could show off some of your S3's with 18s with details on the lowered amount , tyre profile and spacers (if any).

I dont want to fork out money on wheels, tyres and lowering springs/struts etc that arnt going to be right so looking for some examples.

18x8" BBS RC ET32, 225/40s all round, 10F/15Rmm spacers, Apex -35 springs, Bilstein shocks, FK lowering caps.

Thanks chaps they look awesome. I have to say 18s are definitely the way to go. Its nice to know your full setups too as gives an idea of a desired look for anyone. I will have to post a pic of mine when i have decided on everything :D
 
Jo Jo do all apex spring setups require lowering caps to even the front out? Ive been offered some Apex springs but im a bit weary about spending the extra on caps etc where as other springs may not require them.

No, I just stuck them on to lower the front end an extra 5mm.
 
Before the pothole... :( I Really liked these wheels...

Cheers man, Means alot.

I bought this car from a lad who breaks S3's. He had this red one in to break due to bottom end giving up. I saw the car and I knew I need to have it. Anyhow struck a deal, Bought a new low mileaged engine and rebuilt it all back together. And it lives to tell the tale. Lol

18" rstt's 15mm spacer front and 20mm rear, lowered on koni shocks and springs probably around 30mm.

Does anyone know the weight of those tt wheels?
 
Is everyone using shorter drop links or are standard suitable when lowering an 8L?

thats lowered on apex springs and shocks 25mm with 19 inch wheels

I've got a set of genuine 18" RSTT which have been refurbished sitting on almost new Goodyear Eagle F1 ayssemtric 3's. PM me if your interested.
