Cheap FK coilovers, anyone used these?

Thinking of getting these for mine, had a set in my BMW they did the job just fine

They look a bargain at £110. Even if they are rubbish, its not a great deal to lose

Ive always steered away from cheap coilovers. Simply because you shouldn't be buying 'cheap' components for a reasonably expensive car, especially if something goes wrong.
In a month or so my H&R coilys will be up for sale as I'm going on air, done about 1500 miles, cost me 1000 new but I realise I'm gonna struggle to get more than half of that back. All my friends told me it was pointless because I was bound to go on air at some point.

Hate admitting they were right....

I agree with PJ buy cheap you buy it twice in my opinion, I know someone with a set of these fo coils on there B8 and they hate them say they are crashy and knock and bang so they are coming off, those H&R coils will be the best buy for anyone wanting some decent ones at a good price.

Totally agree. ..you get what you pay for

You won't be entirely satisfied so it's best investing in some quality ones for a quality car...It just makes sense for all the effort

Does anyone know if the fk-shop.de website is genuine. Put my CC detail into it earlier to purchase them, but it keeps saying an error occurred. Tried to different cards.

Then went to pay by paypal, it has accepted my order without any paypal details, but sent me an email with bank account details and a reference number to send the payment.

Very confused.

Decided to go for the cheap ones till I can afford something better.

Iv had these on both an Audi A3 and Skoda and both time no issues, build quality is good, easy to install, and rides well, of course you'll notice more road vibration ect but it certainly transforms a car when putting coilovers in to lower rather than stock, my next purchase will be FK purely for cost reasons.

Out of interest where did you buy them. Put my CC details and my wife's into the above site and think it may be a con. It said an error had occurred both cards, which seemed strange.

I got them from Venom Motorsport!

There was a FK cup kit in my car when I bought it, dampers and 60/40 mm springs. Although the car rode fine and steered fine the rattles from the suspension were unbearable and I took them out in a week. It sounded like links or worn bushes but the car had just passed its NCT (irish MOT) before I bought it and I got my mechanic to check it on his lift and found nothing worn.

Just bad quality imo. If I go down the route of lowering again itll be the likes of an Eibach pro kit i'll be installing, for now I am happy with stock sussy.

Steer clear, had them on my cooper s and they were awful. Replaced them with standard shocks and eibach springs and they were miles better.

Bought ap coils for my a4 and they are amazing. About 550-600 notes though

I paid £510 for my AP coilovers and can't fault them at all, but I'm sure if you spend more again they will be even better with the likes of adjustable damping and what not.

Mine'll be going for 500 ;) Half price on retail!
But only once my ****** air ride compressor is fixed!

I could be tempted for those and sell mine, I want air but quite enjoy being static and seeing how low I can get it lol

Mine can go lower than Ive got them but with my fitment currently I'd be shredding tyres like no mans business!
I'm sure once my airs on I can sort you out ;)
