TTRS Engine Cover mods

Fitted a TTRS engine cover to me S3 today:



As you can see its stock. Wondered if any of you have modified yours? Post your pics here so I can get some ideas of what can be done.

Statller get them done for customer's how they want, I think doing the silver the colour of the car would look good but also from memory the black panels come off so you could do them silver etc

I was thinking that, maybe Sprint Blue for the silver part and (wing mirror) silver for the black parts?? Maybe back rings anyone good with photoshop?

I've done the same mod on my A3. Haven't got any photo's to hand but essentially wrapped the black parts in carbon which was a bit of a pain in the @rse (chiselled off the TFSI) and sprayed the silver part in dolphin grey to match the body work and replaced the rings. Really easy to do if you don't do the carbon and looks good.
 
Get the 911 oil cap and that finishes it all off really nicely.

It won't be from a TTRS as the 5 pot, same as the RS3 has a red Cam cover and is on show,

i bought it like that from a friend who had it on candy white ed30. it was done by paint shop and it was colour matched to his ed30. i guess it needs sanding and primer to get it smooth.

Always been here, since late 2001

2 x modded 8L S3's (2002 & 2003)
1 x standard 8P Black Ed S3 (2011)

Fond memories in all of them including the last in Sprint Blue.

And now the RS.

It's black edition in black - will upload pics sat when I get it . Got black cai pipes as well
 
Indeed - black forge caps as well - literally black everything lol

Its not a TTRS engine cover. Its a TTS engine cover. As at least 2 other members in this very thread have hinted at lol.

Looks like I ballsed up the Thead title, no idea why. So no more **** takes please just TTS engine cover mods. (PS yes I know I'm a ****) :keule:

lmao...no biggie :)

I actually am thinking on getting my own sprayed. Its standard at the mo like yours. Was thinking on getting the silver bits sprayed the same colour as the car but dunno if it would be too dark.

I got mine done at body shop called legands near blue water shopping centre . They would be able to advise you if that helps ? Cost me 100 to get mine done but sure it can be done a lot cheaper! Just I don't trust myself to do it lol

Lol never said it was done by myself ;) I figured if I screwed it up it would cost enough to get a new one ;)
