Another random question for quattro owners?

Sorry to hassle you lot...another bizarre random one...but bear with, can someone give me the positioning measurements for the quattro badge on your passenger side of the dashboard trim.

I think it's in line with the locking mechanism of the glove box but what's the measurement down from the top of the trim.....looks like it's 2/3rd's of the way down as opposed to dead centre. If anyone can be bothered coming back to me....I would be most obliged.

Hi, I can measure mine later but mine sits in a recess in the trim.

Thanks Geoff, yeagh I guessed that....It's not a q badge am sticking on, just a ABT Sportline but want to get it as close to the q positioning as I can. Whenever you can be bothered would be great Sir.

Yeah it's not level with the glove box lock, it's in the middle (vertically) of the dash trim inlay (carbon/silver, depending on your trim), and close to the centre console

hi

is that a standard or aftermarket trim.. I have a more dabbled bobbly effect aluminium look.. But the above looks fab.. My trim is a bit scratched and worn on the days and door panels... Hmm I wonder if I could change it to this..

I believe it's standard. It had that trim when I bought it and nothing about the condition of the car suggested it was previously owned by someone who would have changed it.

Yeagh, that is defo OEM imho. Mine was the older style silver "fishscale" variety which was pretty scratched on the door trims mostly, so I had a go with the 3d black 3M carbon fiber vinyl and it was surprisingly easy to do. Might try the 4D during the Winter maybe even back to silver / grey.
